The necklace is fastened with a honey colored clasp, and is strung on silk beading thread.

All of my handmade teething necklaces are made with 100% pure Baltic amber. Baltic amber contains succinic acid which, when heated by the warmth of the skin, releases anti-inflammatory acids into the pores. Succinic acid will soothe the pain caused by tooth eruption, and it will help to reduce the symptoms of inflammation (i.e. fever, fussiness, red cheeks and drooling).

Baltic amber is all 40 - 50 million years old!

FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 -- ALL TEETHING NECKLACES SHOULD BE REMOVED DURING NAPS AND NIGHTTIME SLEEP. USE ONLY UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION.

CHILDREN SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO PUT THE NECKLACE IN THEIR MOUTH AND/OR CHEW ON IT! IF THE NECKLACE IS LONG ENOUGH TO GET INTO THEIR MOUTH THEN THEY REQUIRE A SHORTER LENGTH!

Notice on Necklace Lengths:
11" is for smaller necks -- usually a standard size for a 6 month old child
12" is generally for 6 months through toddlerhood
13" for larger necks -- suitable for ages 2 through 6
If you are in doubt of what size to order, I recommend placing a string around your child's neck and cutting it to a comfortable length that is not too tight but not too long (you don't want your child to be able to put the necklace in their mouth while they are wearing it). Measure the string and you will have your length! If you are interested in half sizes (i.e. 12 1/2"), please contact me directly.

***If a bead cracks or your necklace breaks at any point within the first six months after your purchase, please mail it back to me and I will fix it free of charge. If your necklace breaks after the six month period then I will still restring it for you for a small fee.***
